The Plain Yoke Tee 19 pattern is a beginner-friendly top with a round yoke.
If you are a complete beginner, you can optionally omit the shortened rows at the back of the neck. Follow the pattern for the beginner’s version, which is knitted entirely in the round.

Each yarn bundle contains the amount of yarn needed to complete the project in the selected size.

Recommended needles
Circular needle 3 mm (40 cm).
Circular needles 3.5 and 4 mm (30–40 and 80 cm).
Double-pointed needles 3.5 mm. If you are knitting using the Magic Loop method, double-pointed needles are not required.
Gauge
19 stitches x approx. 32 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles.
Please note that cotton yarns typically shrink after washing but stretch slightly with wear.
Choosing your size
The Plain Yoke Tee 19 is designed with 4–9 cm of positive ease. In the photos, the top is shown with approximately 4 cm of positive ease.
Measure your bust (or the widest part of your upper body) and choose your size based on this measurement (the finished measurements of the top are given on the front). The positive ease is the difference between the finished knitted piece and your measurements.
For example, if your bust measurement is 94 cm, size M will give you a positive ease of 9 cm (103 cm – 94 cm = 9 cm).
* The length is measured at the centre back, including the neckband.

Construction, detailed version (as shown in the picture)
The Plain Yoke Tee 19 is knitted from the top down with a raised section at the nape of the neck, created using German short rows (GSR). During the GSR, knit in stockinette stitch on both the right-side and wrong-side rows (i.e. knit on the right-side row, purl on the wrong-side row). Apart from the GSR, the jumper is knitted exclusively in stockinette stitch in the round. The round yoke is shaped with increases.
Construction, Beginner’s Version
The Plain Yoke Tee 19 is knitted from the top down. Everything is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round, i.e. only knit stitches. The round yoke is shaped using increases. The only difference from the detailed version is that the neckline is the same at the front and back.
