The "V-neck chokki" is a loose-fitting, top-down shoulder vest. It has a compact, flat V-neckline and a relaxed silhouette. The term "chokki" means "vest" in Japanese and has a retro look. To begin, the back shoulder is worked with short rows to the underarm. The stitches for the front piece are picked up from the back shoulders and both front pieces are worked flat while the neckline is shaped and joined to the back piece at the underarm to be worked seamlessly to the hem. The armhole edges are worked from stitches picked up around the armholes and worked in the round in ribbing. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front and neck and the 1x1 rib button placket is knitted. You can choose between three types of buttonholes, and the length of the body can be adjusted to your liking (note that this may affect the amount of yarn needed and the number of buttons required).
The model is versatile: you can wear it unbuttoned over a T-shirt or buttoned up under a coat like a suit vest. It is a practical addition to any wardrobe.
Each yarn kit contains the amount of yarn needed to complete the project in the selected size.
