Smilla's Sleeves is a large, feminine soul warmer with a simple cable pattern that Anne Ventzel uses in many of her tutorials. The soul warmer is worked from the neck down. The neckline at the nape and the back are worked first. New stitches are then picked up along the shoulders for the fronts. Under the armholes, front and back are collected on one needle and the body is made in rows to the bottom edge. Then pick up stitches around the armholes for the sleeves, which are knitted in rounds.When choosing the size you should take your shoulder width as a starting point. Your shoulder size is usually quite different from your chest size, so you may need to choose a different size than usual. Try on a cardigan from your wardrobe and imagine it without the fronts. This may help you to choose a size with the measurements given here.Each wool pack contains the amount of yarn needed to complete the project in the selected size.The instructions are not included.
