Begin quiet mornings with the gentle embrace of Burchett. The cardigan’s seamless dolman-sleeve fit, deep cuffs, and broad ribbed edging, set off with an understated border of twisted stitches, softly envelop you in Dapple’s airy woolen-spun blend of Merino wool and fluffy organic cotton. Savor another sip of coffee, enjoy the silence, and take a moment to simply breathe.
Construction & Fit
This cardigan is worked seamlessly in one piece. The center back section is worked back and forth in rows first, beginning with a provisional cast on. Once the center back is complete, the provisional stitches are placed on a separate needle, stitches are cast on for the edge of each armhole, and the body is worked in the round. The fronts are shaped individually using short rows, then the border and ribbing are worked around the entire piece. The sleeves are picked up from the armhole openings and worked circularly to the cuffs. Two sleeve lengths are provided.
When selecting a finished garment size, we recommend considering the body width from elbow to elbow (see Finished Dimensions) in relation to where you would like the sleeves to fit on your arm.
Each wool kit contains the amount of yarn needed to complete the project in the selected size.
Knitting pattern not included in the wool kit.
