// INFO
We are also thrilled to introduce something truly special: a one-shot issue of Laine titled Laine Nordic Knits. As the name suggests, this edition is a celebration of Nordic knitting traditions. Packed with 164 pages, it offers more knitwear patterns than before — 17 in total! These patterns are crafted by Nordic designers or designers with Nordic roots, and we have also included a few timeless classics from beloved Nordic yarn brands. Every pattern features yarns from Nordic manufacturers, ranging from established brands to small, artisanal hand-dyeing studios.
Beyond the patterns, we are excited to share some captivating stories. This issue features an interview with Danish knitwear design superstar Mette Wendelboe Okkels, also known as PetiteKnit, and a visit to Linkulla Spinneri, a charming Finnish artisan spinning mill.
For Laine, this issue represents a homecoming of sorts — a return to our Nordic origins, aesthetics and knitting traditions. Founded in Finland in 2016 with the subtitle “Nordic Knit Life,” Laine has grown to reach an international audience. With this special issue, however, we are honoring our roots and the unique way of life here in the North.
Laine Nordic Knits is a captivating one-off issue of Laine Magazine dedicated entirely to celebrating Nordic knitting traditions and aesthetics. Featuring 17 knitting patterns, interesting articles as well as beautiful photography, this special edition promises to immerse readers in the rich tapestry of Nordic knitwear.
